Tooth Extractions in Winter Garden, FL
At Titus Dental, we use only the most innovative technologies and utmost care to remove a tooth or its roots with minimal trauma to the surrounding tissue in the mouth.
Do I Need an Extraction?
During your appointment with us, either Dr. Gary or Dr. Deborah will conduct a thorough examination to determine if you will need a tooth extraction for any number of reasons. We will see if you have enough tooth structure left to expect a good prognosis for your tooth long-term. We hate to “throw good money after bad teeth,” so sometimes, an extraction is the best route. Some teeth are extracted because they are severely decayed; others may have advanced periodontal disease or have broken in a way that cannot be repaired. No matter the reason for the extraction, we will be certain that you are comfortable during the procedure.
After Tooth Extraction
After tooth extraction, it’s important for a blood clot to form to stop the bleeding and begin the healing process. You can expect to bite on a gauze pad for 30-45 minutes immediately after the appointment. If the bleeding or oozing still persists, place another gauze pad and bite firmly for another 30 minutes. You may have to do this several times to staunch the flow of blood.
Key Benefits:
